Hiked In Quebec

My husband and I booked a two week trip, including a RV, of Quebec.  We went on some hikes where we walked 7.6 km to Notre Dame du Saguenay our first day there!  It was very difficult because the path was mostly stone steps going up or down.  It took us almost four hours to complete the hike.  I never really hiked before but knew that it was not at all an easy hike.  As a matter of fact, it was a hike for experts, I believe.  So many people were struggling and I felt so bad for them.  Oh well I must say I will never forget it.

We also hiked to a beautiful waterfall and lookout point in Mont Albert.  The hikes were not that difficult so we enjoyed ourselves more.

We also stayed in Perce, Quebec which was my favorite spot of the entire trip.  They had a great boardwalk and shops.  We got an ice cream and strolled around for a bit.

We were lucky and saw a beautiful sunset before we made a campfire and enjoyed some s'mores.

Our Canadream RV that took us from point A to point B with comfort and style.  It's our second time using that RV company and it was a really great experience.  We also learned a lot so if we ever buy one we will know what we are doing.

The Georgian Bay Loop

We rented a RV and decided to do a loop trip and since we have wanted to explore Up North more we decided on Georgian Bay.  It exceeded our expectations because there was so much to do and see; plus it was very beautiful too!

Sure there were beaches and trails but there were nature centers, touristy hot spots, natural wonders, RV/camp grounds with parks and much more.  Aside from keeping your eyes open for bears it was a very wonderful trip.

What a beautiful sunset and amazing night too sitting around the campfire and enjoying the night.

So many gorgeous wildflowers and butterflies all around too!

We had to take a ferry to get off of Manitoulin Island and boy was it ever amazing.  It was so huge and even had a full restaurant on board.

Sweet Smelling Sugar Beach In Toronto, Ontario CANADA

Not only is Sugar Beach lovely with a pretty amazing view but it literally smells like sugar too because the Redpath Sugar Company is right next door, hence the name.  There is a great patio also and lots of Green P city pay parking which you can access on an app if you prefer.
Though there is no beach access to swim you can boat there and there is a splash pad nearby.  If you notice there are dock cleats and I believe it's free which means no parking fees for the day.  For more information you can go to the City Of Toronto Sugar Beach Website and if it's not there contact them.
If you are going to be in Toronto you should try to check out the Harbour Front and Toronto Islands.  I think if you took a full day or two max you could see a lot of it.  There is so much to do here in Toronto you will probably need to keep coming back.  It's a great place to visit and an even better place to live.
I put two links in this blog post and if you noticed the Redpath Sugar link you then will find some pretty sweet things!  Here are another two links I just found an amazing recipe for Lemon and Lavender Flower Tartlets and then there is the Acts Of Sweetness section where they list that Redpath will have their truck at some events in Southern Ontario.

Started A Little Butterfly and Bee Flower Garden Box This Spring

Thanks to Sheridan Nursery we were able to get some pretty wonderful flower plants without any problems and they had a section in their perennials specifically for bees, butterflies and/or hummingbirds.  I was able to find some pretty lovely ones for bees and butterflies easily and the service was so wonderful. too

Those are some of the flower plants that I selected.  Members receive a 2 year warranty with their purchase.  Also if you buy a bag of dirt or something it's at the front and they have staff to take it right to your car if you like just show them your receipt.

I even spotted this crazy yet amazing plant that seemed fake because it had fuzzy looking flowers, chenille is what it's called, but it was totally real and the sales lady was so informed about it too.  I had to think but unfortunately couldn't find a place for it in my home so had to pass this time.

And Voila!  All planted and ready to fully bloom!

2017 Just Flew On By!

Last I posted on here was the summer!  Fall just went by so super quick for me, was very busy so I can understand why.  Even still was so fortunate to be able to capture some really amazing nature on some of my down times, however.  I am hoping to find time to go through all my pictures and upload them to my Flickr and include only a few of those that I feel are best to my American Fine Art gallery.

Living in the city does offer a lot of great optic material, especially during the holidays.

The new tunnel is open at Eaton's Centre and it's really amazing!

The Eaton's Centre Christmas Tree that spanned all the levels of the mall, and then some, was really something too.

Memorable Summer Including A Cruise To Boldt Castle On Heart Island In New York's Thousand Islands

My husband surprised me with a lovely cruise and not just any cruise, one to Heart Island with a castle!  Talk about romantic and wonderful!  It really didn't even take that long to get there, under two hours and we saw the castle in about an hour.  There was food and drinks on the boat and we had a big breakfast before at the nearby cafe where we picked up our tickets.

As we approached I was very impressed with the lovely castle and grounds too.  It was so wonderful but too bad Mr. Boldt and Mrs. Boldt didn't get to live there because tragically she died before it was finished.  The main floor was all done up and they even have a functioning elevator too but they are still renovating the upper floors so when it's all done I hope my husband and I will go back again to see!
