Searching For The Monarch Buttterfly Migration In South Western Ontario That Are Currently Migrating To Mexico

I love Monarch Butterflies and all other kinds of butterflies too! I love being out in nature a lot and also love seeing them as well as taking captures of them too. Recently I remembered the time we stopped in Ajax, Ontario and there were so many Monarchs it was magical! We did go back this weekend and there were still some but not a large concentration of them like before. The most were in the Ajax Meadow area so next year we will be back in the summer and late summer to check on my amazng and vibrant winged little friends. The weenend before we were at Rosetta McClain Gardens and we were blessed to see one being caught by the ladies there that were tagging them to track them on their long journey to Mexico. I spotted an existing tag so they let him go. It was a he because he had two black dots at the ends of his wings. I posted all about it on Twiter X under my @AnnaGarasto ~ Anna Garasto-I***** account so I will include those on this blog post.

We were at beautiful Rosetta McClain Gardens in Toronto early this afternoon to see if the monarch butterflies were still gathering but we only spotted one. Saw a large gathering of Monarch Butterflies in Ajax, Ontario on the waterfront before and it was magical! So many in one place at once with them flying all around you. 2025 Toronto Korean Festival

Friday night my husband and I noticed a big event at Mel Lastman's Square so we decided to get some Green P and check it out!  I'm so glad we did because we found a fabulous Korean Festival happening and we had such a great time.  We had some yummy Korean food and treats there too and it was so good.  We really love the Korean culture and food after years of visiting and enjoying Koreatown in Toronto.  I brought my LPS petite Blythe Doll Sophia along too and took some pictures.  The music was live there was KPop and a live DJ.  It was really wonderful and so many of us were singing and dancing.  Unfortunately there was a pickpocket incident according to the announcer and they stole a woman's phone so he advised us to be very careful.  We appreciated their honesty that probably helped prevent other thefts so we made sure to be extra vigilant.          

 

Visited The Wonderful Royal Ontario Museum / ROM

For two adults the general admission plus an exhibit came out to $87.00 taxes included so around $43.50 each but I felt it was well worth it.  I've been to the ROM a couple times before and it keeps getting better!  The only thing I would have changed is that we could photograph pieces in the exhibit. I do understand though because they want more people to come and don't want their treasures to be spoiled.  

Niagara Falls, Ontario Power Plant & Floral Showhouse

I love Niagara Falls, both the Canadian and American sides.  Not only do you have one of the natural wonders of the world but the is so much amazingness there too from attractions, to parks, to restaurants and much more!  I'm so blessed to live only an hour and a half by car.  This past time we specifically went to visit two attractions and the falls.  First we went to see The Niagara Power Plant that includes the fabulous Tunnel where you can see the falls so close at a different vantage point. Then we went to the lovely Floral Showhouse too.  We only went for the day.  We then grabbed a burger at We The Fine (WTF) Burger and it was so good.  I highly recommend it all!  I've been going to Niagara since I was a baby!  My parents loved going there too.  They are originally from the South of Italy and everyone from there that visits Buffalo or Ontario or both makes it a point to visit Niagara Falls.  They definitely aren't wrong!

If I see something amazing I capture it. It's that simple. It can be anything. What ever I want to share and put it out there. I don't worry about what others will think. It's all about what I like and what I find interesting, or amazing, or beautiful. I don't take pictures just to take pictures. I only take pictures when I feel that there is a need. It's all about quality and not quantity. I find that I stay excited about my photography that way and I don't ever burn out. It's not about the money either. It's about the art. If you don't love what you do then you won't be happy about it.
